A letter to J.W. Marriott, Jr., Chairman and CEO, Marriott International:
On February 2, 2008 I held my daughter’s wedding at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort in Lincolnshire, Illinois, and was absolutely delighted by the care and attention from everyone at that facility. The food service was fabulous and the wait staff was on top of things. Many of my guests are still commenting on how smooth this affair was run and how impressed they were with the hotel.
Having been a president of a company for 30 years, I know that all too often, people tend to overlook superior service, believing that it is what should be expected. Indeed, it should and to those who created such excellence should go the kudos as nothing that exceptional happens by itself.

We knew from the start the knowledge, professionalism and customer service skills of the Event Manager assigned to us were what we needed to see us through. During nine months of planning she made great recommendations, answered all of our questions, and did so in a timely manner as if she had no other clients.
