Abby Wells began her distinguished career in the hospitality industry as a college student nearly 20 years ago. She started working for her university’s conference center, and then for an exclusive beach resort upon graduating, followed by positions at several major metropolitan properties. This wide variety of experience gave Abby exposure to all facets of hotel operations. Since 1997, Abby has worked in Catering Sales, where she has learned the ins and outs of planning weddings and receptions from some of the industry’s finest professionals and luminaries. Now a Certified Wedding Planner herself, she joined Marriott in 2001 as a Senior Sales Manager and as part of the “opening team” at the stunning Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland. She returned to her native Charlotte, North Carolina in 2004, where she continues to hone her skills and make dreams come true for brides-to-be at one of Charlotte’s finest hotels—the Charlotte Marriott City Center.
