Chef Carlos Gomez recently joined the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront as its new Executive Chef.  In his role, Chef Gomez oversees a staff of 73 associates who handle the culinary creativity for the hotel, its food and beverage outlets (Grille 700, Kozmo’s Lounge, and room service) as well as for all events including weddings, social affairs, meetings, banquets, and more.
 
A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Chef Gomez was trained at the Culinary Institute of America, Greystone in St. Helena, CA and has spent nine years cooking for Marriott Hotels & Resorts in addition to positions with other hotel companies as well as two fine dining restaurants which received three stars by The New York Times.  He has also studied abroad in England, Ireland, France, and Sweden and trained under such notable chefs as Robert Fallon, Andre Ronsin, and Walter Sheib (former chef at The White House).
